Description

The ride commences from St Leonards Railway station where it passes through Waverton and Lavender Bay to Sydney Harbour Bridge. After crossing the Bridge, it will take Kent St to King St. Using King St, the ride will go through to Macquarie St, and pass St Mary's Cathedral and the Domain to reach the cycleways of Bourke St.

Bourke St will take the ride over William St and Oxford St until it reaches the Arthur St turn off to go to Moore Park and its massive spiral shared path bridge over Anzac Pde. At this point the ride will head into Centennial Park.

From Centennial Park, two options become available. One option will take the ride through the Bondi Junction commercial district (for quieter times in the day). The other bypasses the commercial district. Regardless the end destination is now Coogee Beach for views, coffee/tea, and conversation.

On return the ride will have two options to reach Centennial Park once more. One will retrace the initial route that bypassed the Bondi Junction commercial district. The other is a bit longer and goes through Rainbow St, past the University of New South Wales, and Doncaster Ave.

From Centennial Park the ride will experience the old world charm of Paddington and Darlinghurst before heading over to the waters of Rushcutters Bay and Woolloomooloo, the Domain and Cahill Walk, the Harbour Bridge and Back to the North Shore.

There are no designed Opt-In points however the ride does pass a number of railway stations along the way and as such these are Opt-out points. Additionally you can turn around at any point and retrace the route. If you choose to leave the ride, please let the ride leader or sweep know BEFORE you leave the ride, ensuring the person acknowledges they heard you!

Notes: Special start Atarmon Station, with route modifications including through Flat Rock both ways, and past Randwick Racecourse on return. Riders should be comfortable climbing many hills. Portions will be ridden above 17 - 19+ on the flat.
