            Description

            The ride starts at Thirroul station and quickly (<2km) joins the Wollongong Coastal Cycleway. We stop at Bulli Beach Cafe(<4km) for a quick coffee and toilet stop after the train journey. We then head south to Wollongong on the coastal cycleway, with a short side trip to Wollongong lighthouse, and head off to Port Kembla, again along the cycleways. The route then continues following the existing BN route to Shellharbour (45km) for a lunch stop by the harbour. Then we ride down the flowing hills towards Minnamurra and through the river forest. We are then on quiet back streets towards Bombo Quarry and an optional bail out point at Bombo station depending on train timings. Otherwise we ride on to the backstreets of Kiama to arrive at Kiama station.

            Notes: PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED. Members only.Ride will start at Thirroul station EASTERN side at 8:45am after arrival of Central(7:24am) train.Aiming for 14:55pm return train fom Kiama. Lunch at Shellharbour (45km).FYI toilets at Thirroul station are on western side of platforms.Please ensure you refer to BN website for COVID-19 related protocols.Bring hand sanitizer and maintain social distancing rules during the ride. NO WALK UP STARTERS ACCEPTED. Cancelled if raining or poor weather. Check BN website.
