Description

Meet outside Penrith Station on Jane Street (Great Western Highway) at 9.45am.

Train leaves Central platform 18 at 8.26am, Redfern platform 4 at 8.28am (there is no lift to this platform), arriving Penrith at 9.34am. Or there are other train combinations. Or you can drive to Penrith as we will be returning to the start point at the end of the ride.

We'll start off with a little loop up to the Knapsack Viaduct, and then use cycle paths along each side of the Nepean River. We'll divert to the Olympic Regatta Centre via back roads and do an optional loop within it. A lovely day’s riding in a different location. 35kms including the loops.

There will be about 6 steps to go down.

Your bike must be in good working order. You must be double vaxxed and wear a mask on public transport. 3 toilets on Penrith Station, or at our coffee stop after only 3kms of riding. Lunch stop at the end of the ride for those happy to stay. Return trains usually 15 minutes apart.

You must register on Bike Leichhardt Meet Up site to join this ride.
