Noreuil Park - Wagirra Trail | Easy | 9am | 26kms | N/A | 25 | $0.00 | BOOK NOW |
Head north along the bike path past the swimming pool and out to Wonga Wetlands. We will regroup at Wonga wetlands where riders doing the short ride will join us. Head west for an anticlockwise loop at a casual pace with some stops on the way to see the river, some of the large redgums and to take in the scenery. The path brings us back on Waterview road near the Wonga wetlands centre. Those doing the short ride will finish here and go back to Wonga and those on the long ride will return along the bike path to Noreuil park.
The Wagirra trail extension (12.5km loop) makes this one of the classic rides of the region. Enjoy river views, trees and farmland. All those small gravel bits have now been sealed with just the one 50 metre gravel section across the creek/ causeway remaining unsealed.
Ride is all on bike paths and almost flat - except the large speed bump just past the swimming pool on the way out, and the bump past the boat ramp on our return.
Remember to carry a spare tube, water bottle and to bring your keep cup.
