NBB Tallawong Western Parklands | Easy Medium | 9:15 for 9:30 | 40 km | N/A | 20 | $0.00 | BOOK NOW |
(Tallawong to Bella Vista via The Ponds, Western Sydney Parklands and Blacktown)
Meet outside Tallawong Metro Station for departure at 9.30am. (Toilets are within the station, next ones are at 21kms.)
Metro leaves Chatswood at 8.47 platform 3, and Epping at 9.00 platform 6. Arrives Tallawong 9.23.
(Or an earlier one leaves Chatswood at 8.37, and arrives Tallawong at 9.13.)
If you prefer to drive, park near Bella Vista Metro station and take the metro to Tallawong. (Give yourself enough time!)
Alternatively, drive to Tallawong and at the end of the ride at Bella Vista, catch the metro to Tallawong.
Wear a mask on public transport. Don’t forget your Opal card. Bring a bike lock.
The ride is mostly on cycle paths and quieter roads, but where busy we’ll opt for the footpath.
Coffee stop is at 21kms – about 11.00am - so bring a small snack if you think you’ll need to munch before that. (There is no coffee at the stations.)
We finish the ride at Bella Vista. There is a restaurant, Zac’s Great Food, and we can lunch there before catching the train, or those not wanting to stay for lunch can go straight to the station.
This is a mostly flat ride, interspersed with a few minor hills. As of today there is a section of the parklands which is closed but we can make a short detour.
If you’ve never explored these areas by bike, this is a good opportunity to enjoy the cycleways of the west, but please let me know first: Text Natalie on 0413 315 696 or email at hippodreams@optusnet.com.au
Cheers
