Meet at the Macquarie University sports fields (2 Culloden Road) at 9.15 for a 9.30 am start. Turn right off Talavera Road, go over the M2 and you’ll see the sports fields. From here, we’ll travel mainly on cycle paths until we get to the Lane Cove National Park. Weather permitting we’ll stop for coffee in the NP and then loop our way back towards Macquarie University. The ride is a medium grade ride suitable for road bikes but preferably hybrid bikes as the roads may be slippery. Approximate distance is 25 km. Please ensure you have a rear light for safety as the weather forecast is not looking good. If you wish to attend this ride please ensure evidence of your vaccination certificate. BOOKING: make your booking direct with the ride leader - see contact details under 'When & Where' at right. IMPORTANT: Please do not just turn up on the day! If the ride is cancelled, we need to know who to advise. NBB 'bunch rides' attract a friendly group - a bunch - of social, non-competitive riders looking to maintain fitness, enjoy good company and 'smell the roses'.(You will NOT be joining a 'bunch' in the highly-trained, peloton meaning of the word!)
