Description

We meet at McCarrs Creek Foreshore Reserve, Church Point.

(Church Point is the address, but it is a bit misleading. If coming from Mona Vale direction, proceed along McCarrs Creek Road for about 200m after the Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park roadside sign. For the geeks, it's at -33.65734,151.27187. Ignore the automatically-generated, wrong and un-overrideable map that appears on this page.)

The ride is up McCarrs Creek Road - some care needed, as the road is not wide and there can be traffic - as far as General San Martin Drive, where we turn right and descend to Akuna Bay for a snack break.

Continuing on the same road, we complete a loop back to McCarrs Creek Road at the lower entrance to Ku-ring-gai National Park, then downhill back to our start point.

The roads are sealed all the way. There are some hills ... but also some great downhills.

BOOKING: make your booking direct with the ride leader - see contact details under 'When & Where' at right.

IMPORTANT: Please do not just turn up on the day! If the ride is cancelled, we need to know who to advise.

NBB 'bunch rides' attract a friendly group - a bunch - of social, non-competitive riders looking to maintain fitness, enjoy good company and 'smell the roses'.
(You will NOT be joining a 'bunch' in the highly-trained, peloton meaning of the word!)

These risks may result in death, bodily injury, disability, property damage and economic loss. There are other risks to which you may be exposed. You should ensure that you wear appropriate clothing and safety equipment, including a helmet.

By participating in the cycling activities provided by the organising Bicycle NSW Affiliated Bicycle User Group, you agree:

The parent/guardian must watch and control their children for the duration of the ride. The parent/guardian agrees to take full and sole responsibility for their children’s safety. Please contact the Ride Leader in advance to discuss the suitability of a ride for your children.
