A scenic but hilly 40 km ride using back roads from Artarmon to Balmoral then visiting Middle Head, Chowder Bay, Georges Heights, Bradleys Head Lookouts before catching the Ferry from Taronga Zoo to Circular Quay then riding across the Harbour Bridge before returning, via back roads, through N Sydney to Artarmon Station.
The ride is almost all on back roads but does include both long and short steep ascents and descents where care must be taken. From Circular Quay, the route passes a number of rail stations that can be used as bale out points. Toilets and water pick up points along the route.
Coffee is usually at Frenchy's near Georges Heights
