Description

This is an alternative route to the Big Loop.

The ride travels up through quiet streets of Eastwood and Carlingford to get to Pennant Hills Rd and then follows an undulating route through the West Pennant Hills valley to the Village Green. Then cut through to Castle Hill and uses mostly back roads to travel through Baulkham Hills and down to Winston Hills and Parramatta Park.

Once at the Park we do a couple of laps (either fast or slow) before our morning tea stop. We return under the M4 (cycleway) and Parramatta Valley Cycleway to Meadowbank, then take the gradual climb up the hill to Eastwood.

This medium grade ride provides an opportunity for those used to easier or flatter rides to gain experience on longer and hillier rides. A wide range of gearing can be used on this ride. More experienced riders will also enjoy a shorter ride with laps of Parramatta Park for extra effort.

Pre-registration is required through the Bike North website link
