Mittagong to Meadowbank | Medium Hard | 10:00am | 111km | N/A | 6 | $0.00 | BOOK NOW |
This ride is 111km if you stay the course, but rail-bail earlier when suits.
Suitably only for experienced, fit, flowing road cyclists used to riding 80+km in a day, maintaining 25kph on flat smooth surface, and fast traffic passing close. Minimal stops. Numerous rail-bail options.
Quick coffee and (takeaway?) lunch at Picton after 42km, before 10-minute railcar from Picton to Douglas Park (avoiding unpleasant part of overall route).
Catch the 7:39 from CQ P2, 7:48 from Central P23, to Campbelltown, where we cross to P4 for the 8:50 Moss Vale railcar. Please notify if boarding beyond Central. Both trains should have plenty of space and there's no need to sit together. (Bring your crochet etc.)
We start from Mittagong ASAP after scheduled 9:57 arrival. We MUST catch the 11:57 railcar at Picton after 42km, or at Tahmoor (11:48) after 35km, for the overall schedule to work. Much of that 42km [+170M] is free-flowing, and we DO drop 460M nett.

From Douglas Park, the route is a flat-ish 69km [+450M] to Meadowbank. We'll stop once midway for more refreshments, + water/loo/rest stops as needed.

The ride will be cancelled or abbreviated if weather threatens. Monitor Meetup for possible cancellation, regardless of weather.
