What we'll do

Start: Bar Italia, Norton Street Leichhardt
Time: 8:15am for 8.30AM ride start
Distance: Approx. 50 km
Grade: Medium due to distance and some hills

Heading off from Leichhardt we will ride over the Anzac and Harbour Bridges through North Sydney and join up with the bike path that runs alongside the Gore Hill Freeway and Epping Road.
After reaching North Ryde we will divert into the Lane Cove National Park for a tranquil descent to our coffee stop at the park’s café (the road in the park is shared with walkers and cars but is a beautiful stress free ride as cars are limited to 40km/ph).
After our break we will take in more of the scenery with our climb back up through the park (approx 4km up hill climb) to Macqaurie Park (giving the first bail out option via the Metro train line). From here we head towards Rhodes (giving second bail out option via Rhodes train station) via bike paths and mostly quiet back roads through to Concord and back to Leichhardt.
What to bring:
A bike in good mechanical order, a helmet, water bottle, a spare inner tube(s) and a pump in case of a puncture. Morning tea can be purchased at the café or bring your own.

RIDE LEADER: Your ride leader is Ellen Kennedy - on-ride mobile is 0421 118629
REGROUP: We will regroup as required on the ride, so please ride behind the Ride Leader to avoid any confusion.
WEATHER: Ride will be cancelled if there is significant rain on the morning of the ride. Call Ride Leader if unsure.
