Description

Cycle from Leichhardt via the Cooks River cycle path to historic Rookwood Cemetery to view Hidden, an annual outdoor sculpture exhibition, that takes place outdoors amongst the pathways and gardens in one of the oldest sections of Rookwood Cemetery.

The themes for HIDDEN 2022 are history, culture, remembrance, love, mourning, cycles of life and the passage of time.

Entry is free.

I have guide/maps for everyone and a voting form - the Cemetery is offering a $500 people’s choice award for your favourite work.

If time permits, we will pop into the 1954 Art Deco All Souls Chapel to view works of art submitted as short film screenings.

Please note that there will be a family picnic day at Rookwood so roads in the cemetery may be busier than usual.

Coffee at Village Café, Rookwood, after viewing the Exhibition.

Approx. 39 km return, mostly on cycle paths.  As some of the ride will be following the Sculpture route on grass and gravel, skinny tyres are not recommended (unless you may like to walk your bike through)

Monitor MeetUp for bad weather cancellation.

Bring bike in good working condition, drink bottle, helmet, pump, spare tubes tyre levers.

Please also observe the usual social distancing recommendations and do not attend if you are sick or have flu-like symptons.

Please contact your ride leader if you have any queries about the ride (Laura 0439 901 613)
